Indian premier league started somewhere mid april. Each night after that has been a splendid treat for viewers with sixes and fours raining all over. For the first time, rajasthan is doing good in cricket. Rajasthan traditionally is not known for its cricketing heroes. I do not recall any famous rajasthani name in cricket stardom fraternity. But still, rajashthan always held a tight and powerful role in BCCI. Be it Lalit Modi, Kishore Rungta, Jagmohan Dalmiya or any other. Marwaris, known for their enterprenueral wit, have aways been frontrunners when it comes to “controlling” cricket in country. So, i wasn’t a surprise, Rajasthan pitched a team in IPL. Widely “acclaimed” as underdogs, the team is doing good in IPL. There is not a single player of rajasthan origin in the team , and team is owned by emerging media, a bunch of NRIs(Manoj Badale, Ravi Krishanan), and Lalchan Murdoch(eldest son of Rupert Murdoch).Manoj has been in touch with RCA as well.
